Yeah...[they'd said as much during the execution itself, but yeah? they could have given her a lightning prof or some kind if they wanted it to end quickly.] It felt more like an excuse to draw things out longer. And who knows what would have happened if Karlach wasn't successful...?

... It got too close to that already. [ it was very lucky that boothill was brought back to himself at the exact right moment, and it did not seem like there was a contingency that would've saved karlach's life otherwise. ]

Don't know if it's part of the ritual or still just the magic reacting to it. [ MAGIC BULLSHIT ] They said it'd be bloody back on Saturday, so they must've expected something.

Could be. It also seemed like they weren't sure what the ritual would really bring if what Lucas said was true. [so it was probably a surprise to all of them...] Something else to be prepared for, I suppose.

Maybe. [but...] But we didn't even know Karlach would be the one having to kill him. How are we supposed to know who might be next time?

It's easy to say now that we'll have to watch for these things and remember they aren't real, but being in the moment...it might be a lot harder. [too many emotions, too many fears, trying not to die. you know.]

she'll also help herself to a piece. this is non-cursed candy they're already a problem as it is. and she doesn't say why she's doing this, but maybe it's a distraction from the very bleak conversation they were just having.]
