I can't say I mind something a little more obvious than what we've had lately. [it'd be good for all of them to keep busy.] Trying different things should lead us to different results, shouldn't it? We might find something to help us bridge the two dimensions together again.

Maybe. This isn't like the lifestream, right? We can watch them, but... We're not part of the same place. So we can always find a way back.

[ MAYBE? it is something they must try anyway or they will go insane ]

We're somewhere else, but it does mean we have a chance of returning to them. Unless they all come here first and we find our way out from here...but that's not what I want for them either.

...There's more than enough people here already. [ everyone dying is kind of a horrible solution. ] And if we all end up here, that cult will just start over with more a different group.

I did say I don't want that for them. [because yeah. she's heard.] I hope Pestilence is right that this might be enough to dissuade them from summoning as much. I want to hope there's a way to stop that entirely, but...I think it's the bigger picture that needs the most attention. That's what Famine seemed to think.

[residentmerc]

Yeah. Finding a way to lessen the amount of monsters and a way to turn them back without killing them... that'd at least help ease the pressure off. [ small problems first. not that these are small problems at all. ] Not that there's much we can do about that here, but... If we've got ideas, we can still share them with the overseers.

Yeah. [those are both true.] There has to be some kind of reverse ritual to quiet the monsters again and save people who've been afflicted. Even if we can't find a way to stop the cult from summoning them at all yet, something to negate the effects would be the most helpful.

[residentmerc]

[ he hums in agreement, squeezing her hand again. he can't think of how they will, but he still says it with more assuredness than he feels: ]

...let's get cleaned up a little and maybe call it a night though. I don't really want to go out again or anything.
