Yeah...they're building quite a collection. [the pets are nice, they are actually really helping calm her down to a quiet, more chill aerith who closes her eyes and stops staring at hallucination zack.]

How many more do you think we need to take?

... I don't know. [ he keeps petting her, because that's easy. ] We don't have a number of ingredients needed on our end. But... maybe four, with next week and the one after that.

[pets are nice, especially since she's also kind of shivering. she wanted less fabric because injuries, but also...cold...]

It sounds like they still aren't even sure what to do with them in the first place. [they do not know another cyoa happened this week yet.]

Neither are we. [ she's shivering so he grabs at the blanket, tugging it around her before holding her again ] Either we'll find out or they will. We just need more information.

We still have a new tome from yesterday's party. That should open on Sunday if the pattern's still true. Maybe something there will help.

Yeah. If there is, we'll let them know. [ cocoons her away from weird zack forever ] But that's Sunday. You don't have to worry about that yet.

...then...should I be worried about something else? [a genuine question. she's just trying to re-calibrate her feelings.]

Yeah. [ very serious. ] You need to worry about getting better and resting.

[considering the vibes are still mildly dizzy and nauseated, that is probably wise. busy burrowing for cuddles, sorry to say]

I should check on the others later.

It can wait until tomorrow. They need their rest, too.

And I still need to write letters. [she says, as her eyes are closed.]

That can wait, too. We might get some others tomorrow. Just... rest, alright? I'll be here when you wake up.

I don't want to go to sleep. [irrational, but also...she'd been at her own house on that island, too, and fell asleep there before waking up in the lab.]

[ he's trying to think of what to talk about. he is not a dialogue person. he tries to think of literally anything to talk about ]

The, uh, chocobo's been digging around a lot. I think he wants to start a treasure pile, but he's only finding garbage.

[we are boosting cloud's social skills.]

His instincts are developing pretty well. I'm sure he'll find something worthwhile sooner or later. Maybe we should bury some things for him to keep him busy.

[ no amount of work will ever fix his social skills. ]

We don't have much to bury to train him on that's worthwhile. [ he's not saying no, just pointing it out. ] Besides, I think he'd know. Would be able to... smell us on it.

Could look for stuff in that warehouse store. Have you even been in there yet? [she says, outright cuddling up and trying to knock him over so they can lay down. no more sitting up, head spinny.] I guess you're right about that though. Chocobos are really good trackers.

[ aerith get better taste. ]

Yeah, I have. [ he does not point out that aerith was there when he was because that's where the plot talk was, just laying back with her when she tries to knock them over. pets her back... cuddles only. ] Anything that smells like us, he'd be able to find it no problem.

[she cannot. also yeah she's 100% not connected so she has sort of forgot about their plot meeting and she's just talking. this is why both of them cannot have soup brains. it's fine though, cuddles only.]

Could get somebody else to help us then. Like a training exercise.

[ cuddles is fine aerith can have her soup brain for exactly two days after that this is too much soup for one relationship ]

You wanna try him to dig around more?

Maybe he'll find us a way out of here. You never know. Oooor more parts? [no. impossible.]

... Sure. We can make him smell the mechanical parts and see if he can find more around.
