The, uh, chocobo's been digging around a lot. I think he wants to start a treasure pile, but he's only finding garbage.

[we are boosting cloud's social skills.]

His instincts are developing pretty well. I'm sure he'll find something worthwhile sooner or later. Maybe we should bury some things for him to keep him busy.

We don't have much to bury to train him on that's worthwhile. [ he's not saying no, just pointing it out. ] Besides, I think he'd know. Would be able to... smell us on it.

Could look for stuff in that warehouse store. Have you even been in there yet? [she says, outright cuddling up and trying to knock him over so they can lay down. no more sitting up, head spinny.] I guess you're right about that though. Chocobos are really good trackers.

Yeah, I have. [ he does not point out that aerith was there when he was because that's where the plot talk was, just laying back with her when she tries to knock them over. pets her back... cuddles only. ] Anything that smells like us, he'd be able to find it no problem.

[she cannot. also yeah she's 100% not connected so she has sort of forgot about their plot meeting and she's just talking. this is why both of them cannot have soup brains. it's fine though, cuddles only.]

Could get somebody else to help us then. Like a training exercise.

... Sure. We can make him smell the mechanical parts and see if he can find more around.

Zack isn't here. [ first of all, and thank god for that, cloud thinks, because today aerith's brain is mush and she's all kinds of fucked up and injured, and yesterday he was in a dress fucking her, and it's just. y'know. it is better that zack is not anywhere near here right now. ] He's gonna come back. He knows the way home and it smells like you here. I'll let him in when he does.

[ the baby is gonna eventually smell her trail back to here it's fine!! ]

[she is staring at the chair in the room for a moment before looking at cloud in confusion. yes? he is very clearly sitting there and monitoring her?

cloud says "he's gonna come back" and she really does have a moment she thinks he means zack and not cj, so she's a frown, thoughts kind of tumbling around and emotions a short roller coaster of something anxious and then something contemplative and calm before settling down again.]

...you're sure. [yes, aerith, this is how chocobos work. she is at least pulled back into a position to lie down, taking care to be on her side and not her back thanks.]
