Depends who it is. If they tell me first, and it's not a match for any of us, maybe it isn't so bad to tell them. But if it is a match...they don't have to know what mine really is. Right?

As long as we make other people go first, and the more monster names we know, the more we can use to make sure there isn't a match unless we want them to be. Some people here really do want to find them.

Doesn't surprise me. They probably care less about the monster part and more about the extra power it might give.

Just be careful. If they're that intense about finding them, they probably won't like it if they figure out you're lying to them.

Yeah. Some of the people I've talked to already seem to think they're strong enough to survive no matter what so that risk doesn't matter. [so yeah.]

...I will. I don't want to lie too much, but just until we know more and can decide. For now it's easy enough to say I used up all three of my shares this week.

I asked Famine earlier. You can make a wish as soon as you find your match. So even if a person's sacrificed...if the wish is made, the wish is made.

Temptation? [she's not sure, but a thought.] Everyone likes the idea of the power, but the ties are what's stopping us. But for some people...maybe a wish would be enough.

It's probably why they're saying it. [ no, he agrees, he means: ] It doesn't exactly match the narrative that we were brought here just to die if there's something we can gain from going along with things.

If the monster affinity was put into us when they brought us here and not fully on purpose, maybe they weren't anticipating that for us. [but she knows he's right. it doesn't match.] The wish can be used for anything outside of something like more wishes or outright wishing for the ritual to stop. Or that's what I heard.

That tying thing, is it only for this place?

Famine wasn't sure. But it seemed that they thought we'd probably find a way to fix it ourselves. Especially since the tie was a side effect of the ritual used to bring us here in the first place. So if we leave, we should be able to undo it.
