anyway here's the thing. she already knew the answer when she asked. she's not a moron. she knows what this would have done for him, and what kind of choice he would make when presented with nadia versus anyone else. so, he says "i killed them" and a hand comes up to rest against his arm gently.]

Like everything else, you don't have to carry it alone. [namely because, well, lucas is already carrying a lot alone. so. also yes he did in fact supermurder four people afterwards but it's...listen. they got better (no, it's still bad, but we're working through it.)]

Everyone's back as far as I can tell. So that's one less thing to worry about. They'll heal just fine, and any effects they picked up will disappear by tomorrow, I think. So everyone will be okay.

...I know it's a big ask, but I don't want you to go back into hiding either after this. Take the time that you need to visit the others and sort out feelings, but you don't have to stay away from big groups if you don't want to.

[she sounds too relieved to be appropriate but listen here. she's tired!! she just wants everyone to feel okay, damnit!] You know I like to make sure after everything...people will forgive you for this, too. I don't think there's any of us who've come back from those trips feeling any kind of normal.

Take the time you need though. I'm...still figuring things out from mine. I'm sure some of the others have been struggling on their own, too. But people are here for you.

It's just...hard to ask for help when you're using to giving it, I think. You know? Maybe for both of us helping other people is how we help ourselves.
