Killing everyone else is never a great option. And of course dying isn't. So...you always hope for a third thing that'll work. Even if it won't get you all the way, at least something to buy time. But it's still a little difficult being in that in-between when you don't know what plan will actually work.

so she is at her apartment! cloud is out doing cloud things (probably checking on the baby chocobo or grabbing things for her) but it means that he can knock on the door and find that it's easy to open! welcome. here is the general view, though the bed is obviously bigger and there are a few more bookshelves filled with crystals and books and plants. there's also what looks like a large cozy sitting chair and a small table.
all of that aside, she's awake! she's curled up on the bed, and her wounds look closed so all of her blood is now inside blood. however she also looks unnaturally pale, and when she looks at him her eyes are glowing a little. she's also keeping her eyes only halfway open. light sensitive...of note, daan might also notice that she's wearing a new cute black choker! little bit of gold on it...circuit-like detailing. there's also a preserved black flower in a small vase on the windowsill by the bed.

Better than before, at least. When I first got here, we were barely just getting the option to speak to the other overseers. Now they're able to show up and everything. We can send letters that get to them, and their letters get to us. Whatever connection we've established is only getting stronger. And this isn't what dead really feels like, I think.

I still have a little bit of apprehension about "getting closer to them", but that might just be me. Everything that happens here comes with a bit of doubt.

Oh, I'm sure you could find something. It is nine hours. Some of us don't stay the whole time, and some of us come in later. It's not hard to find us wherever we set up camp. Though Karma and I were thinking maybe the jazz bar tomorrow.

That sounds about right, yeah. Haven't heard a single damn good thing about those things. In fact, I don't think there's ever been a single venture with a good review.
