I know you're right. [realistically. she knows! but...but!] I think that's something people spend their whole lives learning. What things should be helped, and what things should be left to the people who have to accomplish them on their own. Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference.

That is true. Even I've struggled with that before, in the short time I've been able to choose anything. Maybe it's best to wait for them to ask, or to ask ourselves and respect their choices... though I know some would still prefer to handle things all on their own for some reason or another, even if they do need help.
I do wish that we'd had access to these things much sooner. It would have saved all of us time and the effects of the spring, but...it's okay. We managed the best that we could.
