I do, too. It's just...hard, I think, when we've grown so used to being able to see everything. To suddenly have that taken away feels so wrong, almost. Especially with all of the changes that have been happening there and here.
Mm... it's the same for me. "Safe" could mean a number of things - free of their monsters, killed and sent to us, or even just keeping them alive by a hair.
[ shaking his head... this isn't going to help. ]
It doesn't help us to dwell on what may be. We can only focus on what we can do now. If that's offering a prayer, then that's what we'll do.
[ he has to think about this for a bit. there's a reason that he never used his own wish, despite having it for over a week - it's difficult for iwatooshi to think of anything to ask for, anything to want, that could be answered by such things.

[she doesn't mind being patient and waiting for him to find words. she knows it's a bit thing to ask, because aerith at her core believes things like prayers and wishes are so powerful and all-encompassing you almost have to be careful what you're asking for.
when the answer comes though...there's a little smile.]
I think...that's the best thing we could give everyone right now. Every single person here deserves to find that peace and happiness after the last few months.
Even before that, too many of us here have struggled with one thing or another. I know life isn't meant to be easy, but it would be nice if everyone could have a break, for a bit.
Tell me about it. [a ping of sympathy.] It feels like every time I talked to someone I'd hear about a hardship they were facing. Makes you want to go to their worlds and fix everything for them if it meant letting them be happy.
I know you're right. [realistically. she knows! but...but!] I think that's something people spend their whole lives learning. What things should be helped, and what things should be left to the people who have to accomplish them on their own. Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference.
That is true. Even I've struggled with that before, in the short time I've been able to choose anything. Maybe it's best to wait for them to ask, or to ask ourselves and respect their choices... though I know some would still prefer to handle things all on their own for some reason or another, even if they do need help.
Yeah. You get it, exactly. [some people want to handle things themselves even when there are glaring signs they need help.] And sometimes asking is difficult, too, if they take it the wrong way.

At the very least, we did use the rocks to ensure their safety. But I do hope that whatever happens, they won't suffer.

But not everything is something we can help with, unfortunate as it is. Some things need to be done on your own.
