Maybe...but it seems like something like that could feel stifling. Or at least difficult when she may have her own wants that don't align with yours.

We're trying to stop a man who wants to unleash a force that will devour all of the gods. Delilah is herself devoted to a god. [a very evil one, but that doesn't matter for these purposes.] We think the force he unleashes is likely to do more damage than only that.

But what's important is that she needs us to succeed.

Sounds familiar. [in that she's getting tired of finding out how many people have little evil men who want to destroy the world.] Seems like she really doesn't have a choice then. But...maybe that could be used to your advantage someday. Like if you help her stop this force, she'll find a way to let you go. I don't know if it works like that, but...it's the least she could offer you.

...She's not here. But it makes me a little nervous to think about.

I don't think I can blame you. When you're so used to it, and for something like that to change...it can be a little frightening to think about going back to it. Or for it to happen again without warning. [maybe laudna isn't afraid of this, but aerith is thinking if she were in her shoes she might be scared someone like that would reappear when a monster possession happened.]

Have you thought about if that promised wish would help? The one you get from finding your partner.
