[she's. probably actually heading into the church while asa's on the way out, so she stops her in her surprise. she still smells like smoke and her boots are wet and muddy, but she looks relatively okay.]

[it's funny that they're running into each other on their way out of their respective investigation locations, because asa is. lowkey disassociating. she is not as currently gross as aerith is, but her fingertips are stained with red.]

I don't know. It was a man but I didn't recognize him. We found him inside the baptism pool.

That's...[well she frowns because what a place to put a person.] Was he just lying there? I can't understand how he would have gotten in in the first place.

Yeah, he was just laying there. Mathis said he couldn't understand either, since he and Lucas spent the night there... Did something keep them from waking up?

It must have. We were all outside last night and with as much of a mess as the town was we didn't hear anything like a fight at all. We would have seen or heard someone approaching the church.
