The weight of it will continue to grow the more it happens. All I wish is to ease any suffering, but these past few days.... it's something that could become too much, in too short a time.

[it's a fine balance of being pragmatic enough to see the problem, but optimistic enough to go "i'll fight it anyway." and she thinks maybe robin feels the same. she thinks perhaps this is a setback for all of them. i literally do not actually know if she knows she's from the same world as these yeehaws who died because caelus only mentioned those two.

It's been three days of being unable to find answers quickly enough or answers we could really be happy with. Most people here...they aren't used to this kind of a loss, or these kinds of situations. And without a chance to heal it's only going to be harder for them to stay focused on getting back out. [we truly had people already offering to sacrifice themselves.]
...but maybe there's something we can do together to help everyone. [and it might be a good distraction for both of them, too.]

These are experiences that can drag anyone down easily. People were too quick to offer giving themselves up... if they connect with someone else.... [ people in general, but also their monster partners... it's a recipe for devastation. ]
If we can organize something... or make something for everyone.... [ she thinks. ] I'd wonder if enough people would like something like s'mores.

Yeah...[YEAH? she hadn't actually thought of it that way but she can absolutely see someone volunteering to sacrifice themselves in the heat of the moment without really registering they could take their partner down with them. not to mention the possibility of finding the wrong person entirely and potentially screwing things up for two innocent people...

That's not a bad idea. It'd be...something nicer to associate the pyre with if we wanted to use that. But we could build one somewhere else, too. If we find enough space we can get people together for something a little less stressful.
Yeah. Alfyn has his axe, and I'm sure other people would find ways to make it work. We have a lot of bladed weapons here. [perfect for maybe murdering people with later, probably.]
Stories or even just playing a game? Something that's easy for people to join in or sit back if they just want to listen. Maybe we really should see about doing something like this.

Anything that'll help people to relax. For those who socialize less... anything that could let them sit and be there would encourage them to stay. [ she's thinking of the wallflowers or the people who'll just up and leave. ]

[this is exactly why she likes and appreciates robin because they really are on the same wavelength here. aerith's been telling people that they all need to be there for each other especially in the aftermath of this mess.]
We still have a lot of people who'll make a break for it as soon as they can. [our wallflowers...] But we'll just be patient and let them come around on their own. If we plan something that gets them to come by at all, that's half the battle.
But you're right. [softly.] Isolating ourselves isn't going to help anybody. If everyone has at least one or two people they can trust by the end of next week...that's better than what they may have started with. It'll help as things keep going. [support systems are important.]
