[Sometimes you want a beach where you can lie there without thinking how in that same beach you pushed a kid inside a barrel to get lost in the ocean! Erin is still feeling pretty guilty about that]
Okay, which one of us really, really wanted horrible bees?
[Erin really hopes that was inherent to this realm and not that someone wished it into existence]
[unfortunately, we are going to have to think about the kid because aerith gives erin a tired but somewhat amused little smile.]
I think you know the answer to that just as well as I do. Maybe we should be grateful it's not leeches? [she still does not know karma died inside the bee store, nor does she have proof karma put it here, but given some factors she feels safe assuming he probably thought about it. maybe he wanted to send the bees to people he doesn't like. that feels karma-ish.]
[The reference to leeches sure hints that, she'd say! Erin takes it as if Aerith knew 100% for sure it was Karma. Erin diiiid suspect maybe it had been Karma but she did think if Karma made something happen it'd be leeches instead of bees, hah]
Why am I not surprised. I can never guess what's going in that kid's head but that does sound like him.
[Not that Erin dislikes him as much as Karma thinks she does, really. Karma isn't her favorite person in the world, but she sure never disliked him not even nearly enough to want harm to come to him]
No proof, but I would totally believe he thought about it a little too hard and now we have bees. [it's not like any of them rally know where these buildings come from. also, for some reason, she does not seem to mind he thought of a bee store? unfortunately for everyone involved aerith has a karma-shaped bias.] We'll just have to be careful around them and try to keep them contained. Can't be too hard, right?
It's just bees. A bit of bees has never hurt anyone who doesn't mess with them.
[Therefore everything will be fine and dandy!
Opinion that will change once word about Karma's, uh, skeleton in that place spreads at some point in the weekend, but for now...bees are an okayish addition to the place and not a cause of concern]
Technically speaking bees stung a lot of people when the island was available to us on the other side, but I can't say if that was their own fault or the fault of the bees.
[Perhaps it's because she doesn't have anything better to do, but she says:]
Ever heard bees attack you spontaneously if you have been naughty? They sting if you have harmless secrets to bury. Kids fear Santa Claus bringing them coal, adults fear the bees.
Can't say I've really dealt with a lot of bees before coming here, but that kinda sounds like they're really intelligent in that case! [she does not believe it, but she's happy to play along.]
They are clever little buggers. So if they were attacking a few people we know, you should probably wonder what misdeeds they did the bees felt a light punishment was necessary.
[Honestly once later she hears about what happened to Karma she's going to feel pretty awful about joking with bees metting punishment, golly]
Is that so...[this is a horrifying conversation for later, yeah, but it's fine. they know not which they speak of.] Then I guess we'll have to keep an eye out for people if the bees are going to be that truthful.
