All of those would be nice. Maybe something good to eat, too. I grabbed Yuffie a bunch of junk food because she'll probably appreciate it after weeks of being in the village, but I have a feeling Vin's tastes are a little different.

I think it's more about the intention than anything. Think of it as...things you would like to receive yourself, maybe. Or in your case maybe something you'd think Cordelia would like? [since it's a baseline for girls, she means.]

It'd make the most sense. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the others felt the same with their partners gone. I know so many of them are still scared, but...it's for the better, right? And maybe a partner-related death is kinder than someone else taking care of it.
I think...what we can do right now is hope he knows we're supporting him from here. And prepare for the outcome, whether that's greeting him when he arrives or sending letters immediately if something happens and he can't make it.
