Old English folklore said that foxes wore the flowers on their paws
to silence movement and stealthily stalk prey.

[ He doesn't react to her curious peek. ]

Unfortunately, it's very possible the bigger the deterrent, the bigger the temptation.

...

The Bible's gone repeatedly missing.

[ WHY!!! ]

[ WE JUST KEEP TRYING TO TAKE THE BIBLE REPEATEDLY... definition of insanity behaviour etc. ]

I thought I'd told a number of people not to. Everyone I've personally told seemed fairly understanding, but I guess I'll never know.

[ If he had like. A pen and paper. He'd just post it to the bulletin board at this rate but he doesn't, so the best he can do is manstand as the Bible repeatedly gets taken. ]

[ He looks exhausted just thinking about the idea of someone agreeing with him to his face and then going off to be a goblin. He wishes he was more the type of person to be like 'ok ur funeral' but unfortunately, he really does wish people wouldn't.

He sighs. Please be known that you're appreciated for being reasonable Aerith.

Enough to worry about already without all of that, but not much we can do in the immediate... the best we can do is recollect our thoughts a bit and see to it tomorrow.

[ He's grim... it's another day that ends in y. ]

I'll pass... thanks.

I'm not interested in feeding whatever monster they've nestled in me.

Besides, if I do that and then I die, someone else does too.

A wish granted is what I was told.

Sounds a little bullshitty to me. Less about Death themselves more than how easily they'd claim something like that.

It's all the same. Commune with the gods, get what you want -- but the price will outweigh a wish before long.

Mmhm.

So in short, not enough information to suggest there are any promised benefits that actually outweigh the possible losses.

And I do believe in the existence of the second -- even if it's only in writing, "death" is a pretty big deal.

...Death might not always be the end... what comes after could be worse.

[ In certain ways. ]

All the more reason to avoid it.

Mhm.

That'll have to do in terms of plans, for now.

Let's at least have a short sleep first before we start running into action.

Always good to take a step back... look at it again after we're finished panicking.

...Lavi did say that in times of dire situations and no direction, the foremost thing needed is a leader...

Do you agree with the thought? Though I guess it begs the question of who it'd be.

True. What you need isn't really a leader. It's just the idea of one.

[ They don't need to be perfect. They don't need to be an unassailable leader. A real leader could even be a cause for schism if someone doesn't agree with the rest.

Just need a reason and a way to unite.

Keep networking... and stay in contact then.

At least that won't be too hard to do here.

Always tomorrow.

[ He supposes that's true. Night falls, dawn comes. Sooner or later. ]

Get some rest, Ms. Gainsborough.
