[at the new salon today, aerith seems to be browsing a selection of nail polish. was vin here just looking to see what this area was? was she passing through? you tell me.]

Guess now's as good a time as any to do some touch-ups if we really wanted to. [the mood is brief confusion though.]

[it seems like she was just glancing in to see what it was, but she doesn't leave now that she sees aerith.]

Do you use things like this often?

[residentflorist]

Not really, no. Sometimes for special occasions but it's not something I regularly wear. [and for a moment she leaves it at that, assessing vin quietly.]

We have some time now. Wanna give it a try? You can pick a color and I'll do one hand to see if it's something you'd like.

[hesitating for a moment]

I'm not certain it would suit me.

[residentflorist]

[she won't push for it, but she does ask.]

What makes you think so?

What if it gets in the way of holding a weapon?

...Vin, what do you think nail polish is? [she sounds a little amused, but the vibes are more friendly than teasing.]

[her expression says she isn't actually sure but now she doesn't want to say that]

[vin help.]

One hand. And if you don't like it, I promise I'll take it off. Okay?

[allomantic]

...Alright.

[holding out her hand!]

[residentflorist]

[pulls out a soft, pretty gray color and unscrews the cap, delicately taking her hand to hold while applying the paint to a single nail for her to see.]

See? It's just like a cover, but it's no more in the way than your regular finger nails.

[allomantic]

[glancing at it for a moment.]

...I guess that's not so bad.

[residentflorist]

It's a little personalized touch. [a little grin.] We can try a different color if you want. Do you have a favorite?

[and because it's vin, she does elaborate a little more.]

I know it probably feels a little silly to even think about these kinds of things, but just because we're preparing for a final fight, whatever that looks like, doesn't mean a little selfcare's a bad idea.
