Well...we lived under the plate. The upper side of Midgar was the city where you could see the sky and feel the rain and everything. But the underside where we were only got some light and not much of anything else.

[that's a complicated question for aerith specifically, and while she's usually pretty open about things there's the most minute shift in her expression.]

People could travel to other sectors, yeah. There was a train but there were other shortcuts, too. [this is a very simple answer.]

[interesting. she notes that, asking another question after a moment.]

Wouldn't it be better to go somewhere they can grow more easily, then?

[residentflorist]

[there's a little smile.]

The other sectors were the same. Unless you went topside, you could never see the sky.

...I imagine that option was only open to a select few with the means to get there?

[residentflorist]

It was possible to go up there, but the people who lived where were those who could afford it. Mostly Shinra employees, or members of the Shinra army if they were lucky.

That sounds about right.

[residentflorist]

Yeah. [fucking capitalism...] But it wasn't so bad. We all got by with what we had. But it was nice to see how everything grows so naturally outside once we left Midgar.

[allomantic]

Here, you mean? Or did you leave that area already before you came here?

[residentflorist]

We left a little while ago before we came to this place. We've been traveling for some time...that's actually how we met Yuffie. She's from a different part of the world and we met a few times before we officially joined us.

[allomantic]

What were you traveling for?

[residentflorist]

[here she grows a little more quiet.]

We have something important we have to do. Someone we have to stop. So that's why we're traveling now. We're hunting him down.

[allomantic]

[that sounds valid to her, so she nods.]

Hopefully you'll find him once this is over.

[residentflorist]

We were getting ready to follow him before we came here. We'd just fought him, and he escaped. There's something he's after, and we have to beat him to it. [she shakes her head.] Our friends are probably still chasing after him.
